This Retribution is a cheap baseline option for blitzing through T1 Electricals. Default ammo choice is Conflag S versus all targets other than Tesseras. Against them (Tesseras = Rogue Drone Battlecruisers), set orbit to 11km and use Scorch. While the Scorch DPS is lower than Conflag, our average hit against the Tesseras at that range is still very close to full applied Rage damage that the Blitz Rocket Hawk gets in Exotics.
This fit was designed and tested with 68.8 EHP/s uniform before factoring in the weather penalty. Feel free to swap what you need on the fit to meet this baseline number. Lower is doable but I think this is a reasonable amount of tank. Bling is not required.
When wondering if you should run Pulse or Beams, ask yourself if you're using Conflag often. Pulse only out damages Beams when it can use Conflag (before tracking is concerned but Small Beams all have manageable tracking). The goal with this fit is to always use Conflag, other than versus Tesseras.
Set your default "Keep At Range" to just under your Conflag optimal. My default is set to 4500m. This is how you will deal with nearly every target. Manual piloting is doable but is usually overkill with your Pulse tracking.
Orbit Cynabals and Knights at 1000m to 2500m. Keep your MWD lit. You will be fine and will barely need your repper after you have closed the distance. If an Echo (Angel scram) spawns with the Cynabal then dunk it first. You will likely vaporize it before it can apply the scram.
For battleship targets, set orbit to 2500m and deactivate your MWD once you're in a good orbit.

Can this ship deal with the 3x Devoted Knight wave at all or is it just an instant ship loss?
There's only one Devoted Knight in T1. What you probably mean is the Devoted Hunter. Any frig brawling the triple Hunters will want to use overheat but it is doable. If you get in a bind then use your MWD speeds to pull range and catch up on tank. If they are not the very first room of the run you can use the invuln period to coast in and kill one of the Hunters before they even go active.
Thx for the reply! Could you elaborate a bit more, how do you coast in while invulnerable? I didn't know this was a mechanic
Go to the 2 minute 15 second mark of this highlight where I use the invuln period in the Hawk: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1610324496 Basically, when you enter the second and third room of a run your ship automatically flies towards the gate. As long as you don't activate any new module/take an aggressive action while coasting the enemies remain dormant for about 30 seconds (reportedly you can activate your MWD/AB if you had it off going into the gate but I keep forgetting to verify). Use that time to get into Conflag range and nuke a Devoted Hunter. By the time they get going you will only be fighting two.
Alright thx! Drops you a follow as well, hopefully my next encounter will go a bit more smoothly!
